bargain bin gold!!!!

 Last week I was able to hit the Wooster OH card show....  my first show in a couple of years for what its worth.....  of course I had my trusty lists of all my Ginter mini and masterpieces wants....of course being the odd ball niche collector that those sets make me.....  of course there were none of those cards there...  so what do i do head home empty handed.. nah...  by some RGIII rookie cards which it sounded like the cards that all the little kids running around the show were looking for.....  heck no!  Instead I looked in the places that i am most comfortable THE BARGAIN BINS!!!!  doing some dumpster diving!  these are just some of the cards i bought....  i spent $35 total and walked away with a pile of card all older than '79s and all for less than .50... most in the .10 range...  didnt write down the total card count and since i am old enough to suffer from CRS disease.... well the actual number of card is now a mystery....  I don't really have much to comment on the cards they kinda speak for themselves in all their well loved and used and sometimes abused vintage glory but really cards from the 50s and early 60s for less than .50/.... how the heck is that not just awesome....  i pretty much just took all the value priced vintage i could find.... the stuff from the 70s i grabbed cool cards or favorite players or players with cool names....  for .10.... i wasn't to picky.

Well I do have 1 comment on these cards, is Denver Lemaster just a great name or I am wrong?  I mean not Rusty Kuntz awesome but still damn cool in its own way.  and Joe Schaffernoth I am trying to imagine a drunken Harry Carey trying to say that name.... and yeah I know he wouldnt have be calling Cubs games then but it still funny to imagine.

All of these cards are available for trade esp if you happen to be building any of these sets...  I am just looking for similar era vintage Indians and Pirates...  so the Indians and Pirates that I have will be a bit tougher to shake loose...  well just let me know that they are for finishing a set..... that I can appreciate.... or ginter black minis from my want list.... i will always trade for them....

But I will gladly take any Willies off your hands!!!!  I have seen that Willie is in some of the 2012 sets and I will gladly trade from my massive stock of Ginter minis or base cards for your Willie's.  I am always looking to trade and I have the ability to knock off a lot of ginter base checklists....or reg back mini lists as well.... heck i can put together pretty good team packs of ginter minis as well....  and as always I am looking for ginter minis to finish my sets as well.... check out the wantlist link to the side for my lists....

Quirky collection completed! 50/50

 The 2009 Allen and Ginter  set had a unique feature that I decided to collect.  Unlike all other years the 2009 No Number minis(NNO) had the print run on the back.  While we have always known that these were limited to a production of 50 per card, unlike the bazooka backs they were never numbered so it always seemed to make the NNO minis not seem as special or short printed, but now they had the hand written numbers on the back so I decided what the heck might as well gather them up.    I knew I was never going to be able to collect all 350 so I had to decide what i was going to collect, when I came up with the idea to collect 1 of each number as in a 1/50, 2/50, 3/50 etc....   which turned out to be a pain in the ass for a lot of ebay listing either dont list the numbering or dont show the back of the card.

 Even so I made a good run of it and for the last year or so I was stuck with 1 card to go: the  26/50  such a random number to be left with.  Finally a couple of weeks ago I finally found it, and I think it was a somewhat fitting card for such an obscure quest.... Vincent Van Gogh a true masterpiece if I must say....though not a Masterpieces.....  for that is an entirely different fool's errand...  right Jeff????

I didnt have any requirements on what cards I was getting and there are some players that are in here more that once, heck Max Scherzer makes it 3 times!  I think Matt Garza and Jeff Clement and David DeJesus are the others who are in there twice.  I have tried to put the best card or at least the player I like best or more favorite non-player into the slots.....  tells u a couple of things....  so of these cards go pretty cheap so i have a bunch of them and that i must have a dreadful selection for Jeff Clement to make it twice....    so very true!   though I do have a few in reserve that should make it in if I make an effort to upgrade.  

Well if you have made it this far and there are any of these that interest you let me know... I may have some backups for that slot...or if you have any of these of your own that you would want to trade me let me know... I will never pass up a good mini.....

Oh I have been working on the Bazooka back /25 version of this as well though I am not to close on it....if u have any of them from 09 that you would like to trade....I would be interested in them as well....

BIGGEST PULL EVER!!!!

Ok first off not all of these are cards that i pulled... but most are..... The Al Kaline auto is by far the best card i have ever pulled in a pack...I dont think its even close..... I got it out of a case of 2012 Ginter retail rack packs.... you know that ones with the gold border minis....what a mini set?? and yes I am building that one as well.... of the others I pulled the /25s from the same case...well I bought the kershaw and the gumbel and I bought the Zobrist mini WOOD 1/1!!! great price on it...too good to pass up... and its the first wood mini that i have ever owned..... it is cool though it would be the ULTIMATE in cool if it was actually wood..... plus i had to post it for the sake of the TROLL!!!!! THe Pineda auto and the /25s are up for trade.....
