SPECTER SWITCHES PARTIES!

Not baseball related, but, wow! Once Al Franken gets seated this will give Dems the 60 votes needed in the Senate to maybe, just maybe get some more stuff accomplished. I am stunned that Arlen actually had the guts to do this, but he had seen the polls and there was no way he would be able to win the Republican primary next year, so he did what was smart and switched. I expect plenty of articles out soon saying that this is a win for the Republicans and that somehow this is bad for President Obama.

What's strange is that the well-funded right wing keeps knocking off moderate Republicans in primaries who can win the general election. For instance, Heather Wilson in NM. But then the far righters who win the primaries can't win the general. Not exactly logical.

Hey, I was supposed to get back to you today about a trade, but I can't seem to find your email address anywhere.

I just went through your wantlist and I only have two cards that you need. I added you to my Google Reader list. I'll remember to get back with you in a few weeks, I'm sure I'll have some '92 Donruss for you.

They have believed their own hype that everyone is really a far righty. They want some sort of ideological purity that is just not well received outside of the deep south. There are pockets for sure across the country where that may work(I now this all too well!), but state wide it really only works in the south and mountain west region, but it is really on effective in the south. I actually seen some folks on TV today saying this was a good thing for the Republican Party. Clueless. Which I like!
